Underwater World Pattaya is home to marine life from the Gulf of Thailand, including colorful coral and sea animals. Underwater World Pattaya was officially opened on 4th July 2003 and is the first modern aquarium in Thailand. It features a 100-metre long underwater tunnel with a capacity of 3.8 million litres of water, which showcases an impressive diversity of 5,000 fishes from 500 species from Thailand and around this region. Besides opening visitors eyes to the brilliance and diversity of undersea life, Underwater World Pattaya also plays an important role in education and marine conservation. School visits are actively supported, and new educational programs are constantly being developed.
